About The Blog
The Roots
She Said A Word (SAW) has been in the working for about two years. The idea was conceived in the fall of 2017, a time where life was rough for me. I was going through another setback and felt that I would never get what I wanted out of life. Honestly, it was one of my lowest points. During that trial, I began to pray and seek God. I fasted and began to write. After a while I realized that I essentially wrote blog posts, but on paper, and began to think about actually creating the blog. Fear kept me from starting, but we are finally here. I broke out of fear and stepped out on faith.
Finally, my baby has been birthed!
Here is my baby, curated from love, self-reflection, vulnerability, truth, and the direction of God. Some posts will be new and others old, but you will never know because a true WORD withstands the test of time. Take a look around and see the words shared. I pray that you enjoy it and are uplifted by the content.

The 'She' Behind She Said A Word
Now that you know a little about SAW and how it came about, "allow me to introduce myself. My name is Khi." Hopefully, you read that in Jay/J’s voice—Z or Cole, depending on the generation you fall into. (lol) I’m a young, Black Queen dedicated to rising above the situations that life has thrown my way. Fighting against the internal and external obstacles, so that I will walk out my God-given purpose in life. I create and have kept it between me, God, and a few others. Now I am stepping out and letting the world know. Gifts and experiences are meant to be shared, right?

A few more things about me: I’m a lover of God, music, poetry, love, laughter, helping others, and maternal health. All of which may or may not come out in posts. I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction and will join me on this journey as I spread love, light, and insight through the words that I write.
